Sponge Cake

Ingredients:

All-Purpose Flour - 1 cup

Powdered Sugar - 3/4 cup

Butter - 1 cup/ 226 grams

Baking powder - 1 tsp

Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
-
Egg - 3
-
Salt - a pinch
Note:
All ingredients should be of room temperature.
Sieve together All-Purpose Flour, Baking Powder and Salt.
Preheat the oven to 180degree Celsius.
Butter/Oil the cake tin
Procedure:

Beat Butter and Sugar till it reaches a creamy consistency.

Beat in eggs 1 at a time.

Add vanilla essence and beat.

Sieve together All-Purpose Flour, Baking Powder and Salt.

Add the flour mixture into the egg-butter mixture.

Fold in till the flour mixture is well combined.

Pour into the cake tin and Bake for 25-30 minutes or till a skewer comes out clean when poked in the middle.
(Baking time depends on the size of the cake tin.)
